Location Description: |
The project enables the construction of various tourist facilities in Gamzigradska Banja. Gamzigradska Banja has thermo-mineral water sources with temperatures up to 42C and a total yield of about 8 l / sec. Thermomineral water belongs to the group of alkaline earth hyperthermia, indicated for the treatment of numerous diseases. The available quantities of thermo-mineral water are long-term sufficient for the healing and rehabilitation functions of the Spa, but also for significant sports and recreational activities, heating facilities, agriculture (greenhouses and hothouses heated with lower temperature water, previously used in spa and recreational facilities), etc. Spatial possibilities for tourism development are: - cultural tourism - health tourism - (wellness) - congress with business and transit tourism - sports and recreation with youth tourism - rural tourism - excursion tourism. '' '' Location is on GPS coordinates: 43 ° 55'25.0 '' '' N 22 ° 10'30.0 '' '' E. The location is well positioned, located in the center of Timok region near all major tourist attractions in the region, from the Danube to the famous pubs and the Old Mountain through Felix Romuliana (UNESCO), which is only 3 kilometers away. The exploitation of healing potentials in the area of Gamzigradska Banja has an extremely long tradition. The first baths that were built for the sake of healing baths in this area were built back in 1920. After the adoption of the General Regulation Plan within the Special Hospital for Rehabilitation "Gamzigrad", the construction of an outdoor swimming pool is expected. Until the bankruptcy in 2015, the hotel "Kastrum" also operated in Gamzigradska Banja, whose property is now at the disposal of the Agency for Licensing of Bankruptcy Trustees. And this hotel could potentially be part of a future investment project. It is interesting that one of the ten oldest hydroelectric power plants in Serbia is located in Gamzigradska Banja, it has not stopped working since 1909. |
